People ask – can I get a loan against my boat? – The answer is Yes. Nevertheless, there are not many lenders who will give a loan against a boat without additional security. Pawning your boat is definitely the easiest way to get a loan against your boat because the boat becomes the sole security. With the possibility of same day funding, it’s certainly a simple and straightforward way to get a fast cash loan without any hassles.
What Boats will we Pawn?
We pawn most popular makes and models of boats including:
- Leisure Boats
- Ski Boats
- Trailer Boats
- PWC – Jet Skis
- Fishing Boats
- Classic Boats
- Trailer Sailers
- Tinny – Dinghys
- Inflatables – RIB’s
We also pawn most makes & models of Jet Skis including:
- Bombardier
- Honda (AquaTrax)
- Jetsurf
- Kawasaki
- Polaris
- Sea-Doo
- Talamax4
- Yamaha
- WaveRunner
Important Information:
We will usually only pawn boats on trailers which are less than 20 years of age including the engine(s); and less that 7 years for Jet Skis. But, we will look at pawning any boat with a reliable market value.
Also, getting a loan against a boat or jet ski usually takes a little longer than a car or motorcycle because we need to take into account the structural integrity, serviceability and history of the boat.
Note: When you pawn your boat, we keep your boat as collateral (the “pledge”) until the loan and interest is repaid in full. See more in the FAQ’s section below.

Once we assess and verify your boat’s ownership – its registration and history – and your identification – we will let you know how much we will lend against the boat • the interest rate we will charge you • and the final terms of the loan.
Interest rates are calculable on a monthly basis and will be fixed for the loan contract period at the time the contract is made. The interest rate we will charge you will depend on a range of factors, including as to the amount being borrowed and value of the goods being pawned. This is called the ‘loan risk ratio‘. The higher the risk to the pawnbroker, the higher the interest rate. See more in the FAQ’s section below.
To get a loan against your Boat or Jet Ski you will need to have:

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be 18+ to pawn a Boat?
Yes. To pawn a Boat or any goods in NSW you must have attained at least 18+ years of age.
Does a bad credit rating matter?
Your good or bad credit worthiness is not a reflection in obtaining a cash loan as you are pledging your Boat or Jet Ski as collateral by handing it over to us until your loan (and any interest due) is completely repaid.
How much can I pawn my Boat for?
It depends on the value of the boat you are looking to pawn. It will be unlikely that you could borrow the full value of the caravan. Generally speaking, pawnbrokers will only lend to about 60% of the wholesale value of the boat. So, if you have a boat or Jet Ski with a pawn-value of $150,000 you might be able to borrow a maximum of around $8,000 – perhaps a few thousand more depending on the particular circumstances.
Loans are available from $2,000 to $50,000. In some cases we will consider lending more.
